7-Day Mount Baker And Weismann Peak Itinerary Highlights
- Day 1: Trekkers Hostel to Sine Hut
Ascend from the Kilembe base (1,450 m) through Afro-montane forest to Sine Hut (2,596 m). - Day 2: Sine Hut to Mutinda Camp
Trek via Kalalama Camp (3,147 m) to Mutinda Camp (3,582 m). - Day 3: Mutinda Camp to Bugata Camp
Hike through the alpine moorland and giant lobelias to reach Bugata Camp (4,100 m). - Day 4: Bugata Camp to Hunwick’s Camp
Cross over the Bamwanjara Pass to reach Hunwick’s Camp. - Day 5: Summit Mount Baker
Climb up to the summit of Mount Baker (4,842 m), followed by a 2-3 hour descent back to Hunwick’s Camp. - Day 6: Hunwick’s Camp to Kiharo Camp
