Straddling the Uganda-DRC border along the equator, the Rwenzori range is one of the last true wild frontiers left in Africa — permanent glaciers under equatorial sun, forests of giant lobelias rising like something out of a dream, and Margherita Peak, Uganda’s highest point at 5,109 metres, waiting at the top of it all.
